The newer one with the core i7 3770k, I checked the hard disks for errors, the motherboard, the video card, then finally checked the ram and found the problem in one of the sticks. I spent about a month trying to figure out the problem, installed windows and all my stuff multiple times since I reformatted it alot. So im only running 2 4gb sticks of the sticks I got since the one is bad, Id run 12 gbs or 3 sticks but im pretty sure all sticks would run in single channel mode rather then dual. I really dont need it that much, but once I start using that computer for everything, mapping, compiling, recording tv shows, and just extreme multitasking, Ill have to get that ram replaced. I think a 4 gb stick of corsair vengeance 1866mhz ram is about 50 bux so it might not be worth it to rma it. since ill have to pay for shipping and all that.

Yeah when I first built it, I had problems with BSOD's and crashes. Formatted the drive server times trying to find the problem. turns out it was my ram, one stick had a ton of errors on it. so I left that one out, havent got a replacement yet, Only running 2 stick atm. Also, my video card showed errors on one test I did but I havent RMA'd it yet either. I dont really see any problems as of now.

Ok seems there was another engine error "22:57:01: Engine error: SV_PackEntity: SnagChangeFrameList mismatched number of props[22 vs 43]" Not sure why this happens, might have something to do with the size of the map or entities. Ive gotten this before and not sure what causes it. But the server is back up now.

Soda, try deleting all your mariokart_dm_summer_beta1b named maps, then re download. Make sure you get them all, I had the map in 3 different places. also delete ones with bsp.bz2 on them or zip. I was able to re download it after that. I never got that engine error, could you post that error?

The new server IP is 173.234.63.58:27016

It was moved due to unfixable lag spikes many of you may of experienced. So far the new server seems to be pretty stable, had 26+ players on last night with no noticeable lag. there was a little from the map but that will soon be updated and optimized to run as efficiently as possible. Come join us and remember to favorite the server!

Whatever, but as you know, the server is currently being worked on and/or transferred to another city. Probably Chicago,  since its more centralized.

Drinking problem? no, not at all. Maybe a year ago but not now, I cant stand being drunk since i cant program or map without messing something up. And I told you this last night Nuro. I have literally 2- 3 hours after work m-f to work on what i can and weekends. I spend alot of time trying to come up with the right way to do things, on top of it all, im still learning the plugin language. So I think its a little unfair to say I have a frustrating combination of lazyness and a drinking problem.

and this whole thing with Ninnys admin, It was removed mostly cause i felt that she was too addicted to the console and it was driving her crazy and mad. She was also doing commands that I felt were too much. Also this thread is in violation to our terms for flaming staff and admin. Her admin will be given back when I feel it to be necessary.

i put added those because i thought it would be better then getting stuck in the cars or stuck in the ground or dragged around the track, when you get hit. they didnt work as well as i planned and will probably remove them or do something diffrent with them.

this would be mostly because your update rate, If you shoot at someone, that data has to be uploaded to the server. at the same time the guy your shooting at moves to the left and since he has the faster upload speed, he moves out of the way of your bullets. This would be lag on your network. It isn't much but if hes going faster ie sprinting, then its done a little quicker. The server is set to a default of 30,000 rate. you can match this by typing "30000 rate" in console if your getting lag, though you may not even notice depending on your connection.

some other things that could effect this are your computer not being able to process the game fast enough, the map is not optimized right now so when you play in the map, your computer has to draw the entire map and will cause frame rate drops. The next map update is currently in the works and will be properly optimized so to not be so hard on your computer. Places like the tunnels will only draw the areas your in and nothing else, opposed to drawing the entire map every second. Models will also not be drawn unless your within a certain distance. the difference will be most notable in the tunnels since the above ground is too open to properly optimize.

If you want to test your frame rates and network speeds, you can use net_graph 1-5, type it in your console. It will display all the info you need, then you can compare my map to a valve map and see the difference.

[TF2] UA MarioKart 24-7 / Server Lag

hey. Since the Steampipe update, things are not "right" just yet. the whole file directory has been redone to optimize tf2 and back it boot faster, update faster and perform better. The server was crashing last night when ever someone joined and, without doing anything, it fixed itself. Im not sure what the problem is, but i know that sourcemod wasnt logging anything, which probably meant that something wasnt working properly. It could be sourcemod or just the server itself.

I have been trying to work out any bugs in my downtime. I installed sourcemod with the latest build and it seemed to be fine, this was early this morning. When did you have the lag spikes? I am keeping an eye on the server but im not in there, so anyone with issues should post them here so I can look into the problems. One thing I can do is test if its sourcemod or the server, I can disable sourcemod and all the plugins and run it to see if theres a difference. If not, then its probably the server or server host.

I say no because I like to go fast in a big map and I don't think it affects hitboxes, Though im not 100% sure on this.

Ok, so some of you may have noticed I havent been around in a while. Well Im pretty much taking a break from working on the TF2 map and the server stuff like plugins. It was pretty much consuming my entire life and not even getting things done, more like starting projects and working on them and starting another over and over. Ive completely shut that computer down and am on my new, good one learning UDK when I am on it and also doing things not computer related.

I still keep an eye on the server, make sure it's running and not outdated, but im not in console or doing any kind of admining right now. Im not sure when Ill start back on all that but if anyone needs anything, admins need permissions or whatever, make sure you let me know. I will also visit skype every once in a while when I get time. Learning UDK is gonna take all my focus and time. I will still visit the forums as normal. I still hope to put out a map update sometime, just not right now. It could be a while or could be a few weeks, I dont know, depends when I feel like working on it. But Im off to eat, See ya.

Im assuming you had it bound to "say !hlgravity"?
I was thinking about making a plugin to GetClientButtons and use it as the variable in a new bind, so it would do FakeClientCommand bind a sm_hlgravity. Then I wouldnt have to see everyone typing it in chat. :)

And the sprint command is really only meant to be for fun, the cooldown can be increased or limited to only refreshing when you kill someone. I use it all the time, like when im being attacked by a scout and i cant catch up to him to smack him, ill use sprint to catch up to him or ill use it to get out of sticky situations or jump further, like into the pipes. I can see how the whip becomes useless while sprint is enabled, but again its for fun. If anything I could modify the plugin do work differently. Honestly, sprint is one of my favorite plugins cause I don't have to waste time walking, I can get to the battle faster.

I love HLXCE iff the stupid chat spam of points and rankings are disabled. Howeever, it seems the current server can't handle it. How much does the current server cost per month out of curiosity?

Im not sure if the cooldowns and length of the rolls were changed or not but they are probably on default and I can change them if needed.

The !hlgravity command I'd perfer if people bind it to a key, bind sm_hlgravity in console, the ! before it will display the command in chat and the / will not display unless it is not a valid command. Almost every command that uses ! can be bound or typed in console if you fix sm_ to it minus the !.

Im not sure if the hitboxes are effected or not, the plugin uses the whip effect from the soldier's whip and is a stock condition that is added, so its a Valve effect and im sure they wouldn't have hitbox issues with it, though I can't say for sure.

I tryed TF2 stats but it caused lag in the server, It may have been that the database it was uploading to was slow to receive the data or was something with the plugin itself. I do want to add stats so player can track them though the forums or another site. Ill try hlxce and see if that works any better. The server is around 30 a month including web server, and full CPanel. I also got a deal through a friend so its not that bad.
