What plugins should be added to the server? I know I may be missing a few from the server move, so tell me. I can also write some if they don't exist. Search for them here http://www.sourcemod.net/plugins.php
Keep in mind im not gonna add every plugin, Ill also write some if people really want them and there not really complicated.

Im pretty sure php needs updated, maybe even vbulliten but i dont have access to the control panel.

Ive seen this issue and had a plan to press a button like crouch and it will disable it for you, though im not sure if i could for just one person. I could however, have that command push the player down, but it could be abused if i dont do it correctly. As of right now, you can switch gravity to high then back to normal for your self to get unstuck from it. (!hlgravity) I think it is.

This has been like this from day one and yes they can be flagged to only work on clients and not projectiles, I may do that in the next map.

Func_tracktrains (boats, cars) is old and is buggy when you try to get them do work like cars, I can smooth the turns but may make a wider turn or might just bug out all together. Ill take a look at what I can do to smooth them out, though I dont think there is anyhting I can do about shots lagging when you shoot at someone.

Cooldowns on the lockers was a project I was working on but have but a side. I will probably add triggers to all the lockers so when I get to it, I can have the plugin hook these triggers and use the cooldown effect.

as much as people liked the Minecraft room/area, it was too big for the map, though I still plan on adding some type of minecraft area, it just has to be smaller. I made a big house in minecraft, but it was way too big, about 3 times bigger then the original mc room. Minecraft blocks use alot more brushes then any tf2 map and alot more surface area. It is pretty hard to find the line between the 2 area that valves engine can put up with. Anything more and it will lag and youll see errors cuz the engine cant do it all.

I have already worked on adding tunnels off to the side you can take to avoid running down a long hallway just to have a sniper step out and kill you and your teammates. I agree these long sight lines make great sniper points and poor anything else, just a tunnel or death. So side tunnels will be added to break these up. The box room may be turned into something else, maybe a point to fight over or something fun, Im just not sure yet. The current tunnels were just for testing to see how people liked them that size and I never got around to really updating them or even optimizing them or the map so you dont get game lag. What the optimizations would do, for one, would break up the tunnels so not everything is drawn by the engine, only what your seeing or the tunnel your in. Right now, without optimizations, the entire playable map is being drawn by the game engine and puts a lot of strain on your system.

Im not sure how the winter map was better for speed tunnels, but I have plans for adding more ways to get above ground from the tunnels and vice versa. I will probably add more shorcuts and/or speed tunnels to areas around the map.

Lol Wut?! I could add a fire breathing dragon that sits on the middle building roof and burns players as they try and cross the map.


So with all that said, im not sure when ill get these updates out but when I do, ill try adding what I can. I will most likely add these acrossed a few map updates rather then one big one. Thanks for the ideas and keep them coming.

If your looking to build cheap I would definitely go with AMD and also try Microcenter. They have really cheap processors, I got my intel corei7 3770k for 220 bucks compared to newegg's 330 pricetag, though you cant buy them online, you have to go to the store to get it.

Ive added the long haul and the long and unseating journey. When you make the tracks you should try and do these things:

Dont make annoying things that make you fly off the track or something that ruins the flow of the game.
Try to make checkpoints so players can respawn closer rather then further away.
Add some props to the map to make it look nice and less empty, it really helps add to it especially if you cant see the whole track from the start line.
Make smooth transitions flat to incline for example, unless you mean to.
Don't make tracks that take more then a couple minutes to complete.

I don't consider myself good at making tracks for this but I think its some things we should keep in mind when making them.

Btw, I didnt add your "marathon" map because of some annoyances. maybe you could fix it up and add some stuff to spice up the surroundings. I liked the beginning though!

I will be adding a map voting system so we can see what others think about the maps we add and we can remove or fix them if need be. I removed HumanCatPost's "Welcome to Hell" track since people didnt seem to like it. One person commented "the person that made this map deserves to be crucified". lol

anyone is looking for this server (probably no one) it is down until more maps are created for it. No point in having the server up for everyone if it only runs a few maps. so, play the beta and make some maps for it. Btw, those who don't play it cause you think that you need to buy it and the demo is limited, well the demo pretty much is the full game minus a few things like getting planets(in game currency), solo times for the tracks and customized cars being viewable by other players. it does not limit the servers you can join or playability of the game. The the demo may not be up forever, when the game comes out in April, they may remove it, though this was in question by the game developers when people asked will there be a free version like trackmania nations and united.

have created a new server on my computer and am now using XAseco2 which stores and lists everyones records for that map and server, also list dedimania records. I am still setting everything up but its up and running my 3 custom maps for now. You can join by #join=staticdediserver1@TMStadium into the in-game browser. Or you can search for servers in Ohio. UA RacingTM2 Stadium.

I will probably be moving the server to my local computer so I can have full access to it and the database. I should soon have live ranking and dedimania records along with other plugins working on it. The other server will just be a waste of money and will cancel it. It was useless since I didn't have ftp access to it to install mods and maps. So, Ill keep you updated on progress.

-TF2 music/ sounds, Game music, real life music that go with the gameplay, not some pop, pony, high pitched shit, the genre of the music to play, you just kinda get the feel for what people want to hear or go with the same style others are playing. NOT repeating sounds thats are annoying, high pitched and screechy.

-Also dont mic spam when people are having an active conversation, Its just fucking annoying when someone comes in and interrupts with some stupid shit, you will get muted. This pretty much goes for anyone, not just you. There is also a good chance you will get muted several times, don't take this as a bad thing and never play again. you be unmuted and you will learn how to properly spam in the server. Or you will be permanently muted, kicked for the clan and banned, lol just kidding, probably not.

-One more thing, take tips from official micpammers like drunkendan on what to play and when. Also dont make your spams last forever, try to limit them to a few minutes if possible cuz other people would like to spam too. And be conscious about what others think about your music.

That has been considered and i might look back into it. Just not sure how the cannon ball would travel from the cannon. It would have to either be on a track, like the cars, or even be a func_physbox like those boxes you shoot around. Would probably be shot out using a trigger push like those hay piles. The problem would be parenting the whole thing with the ships so they can move with it and maybe you could break part of the ship that was hit? It's kinda complicated and needs to be tested. But it might be doable. If all else fails, I could make a plugin that would handle the physics of it.

I want to hear your ideas for the map and for the server. Map ideas, gameplay, stuff to add like pictures, new tunnels, plugins, commands, etc. Add them here. There was a thread like this put im making a new one.

Keep in mind i cant add everything, source engine has its limits and mariokart is already pretty big as it is. So, Ideas for the new map and future maps.
Plugins that you've seen on other servers, on the web or just idea for something I could write.

I will read everyone's and consider them. Hell if you got ANY idea or suggestion, put it here. If you got a idea you don't wanna put here, just private message me!

Server is currently working with mods again. You shouldn't get time outs but if you do please report or any errors them here.

The server went down, I think sometime last night. Ive been trying to bring it back online but it doesnt seem to exist. It might be in the process of being moved, but i can't confirm anything yet. Ill keep you posted on what I find out.

Ok the server is gonna be moved to a new machine in Dallas and it will have a new ip. I will be working on getting that setup tonight. The other server that is down wont be up for a couple days. I Will setup a redirect for players so they know to goto the new server ip. I dont know the ip yet but will post as soon as I do. thanks for your patience.

Well, Im almost done with installing everything, Im just uploading the map. The server wont be 100% back to the original but should be close enough to it. The server ip is 64.120.63.70:27017. It is password protected until everything is in working order. Ill repost when its unlocked and ready.
