Looking for some new ideas for the coming MarioKart map update...

Yes, I am looking for some good ideas for the map update. I want it to St. Patrick's day and Spring themed Mario. I already have some ideas but am sort of struggling to put them together. I want your ideas and maybe I can put them in the map. Also, I had to take out the Minecraft area since it was way too big for the map and no way would I be able to add anymore with it that large. So there will be a larger skybox like before and maybe more to the tunnels. (I might be able to add something Minecraft related)
Please post your ideas, drawings, whatever you want so I can get them in the map. Deadline for this would be sometime before St. Patrick's day. (March 17th) I hope to see some good ideas :cool-new: Thanks!

I just brainstormed...

First idea. For all our portals that go somewhere (ex. the rec room and drowning pool entrance, as well as the cloud portals), I think we should replace the images of those with a screenshot of where the player will be going to. Kind of like the portraits in Super Mario 64 and how it will show you a image preview of where you'll be going to before jumping into it.

Secondly, I will link some images of things on the map that should be considered replaced or removed (in my opinion). This idea is to help others (and Static) with the image replacement part. We have about a week before deadline, so some progress on this part should be easy to do.

My idea for replacements: Images that could represent the diversity we have on the server. (common examples: Micspammers, kids, and Bronies.) Second topics: Something specific admins/clan members like (For example, God of War for Kratos, something anime for Ninny [sorry about that example Ninny :| ], and Doom for yours truely). Final (and obviously more likely) idea: Just plain Mario or Nintendo related stuff.

That's about it for now.

It's not too late we can send him some images like the last time we pulled out some 4chan stuff. It's only a minor edit to the map.

Sounds like a good idea. Do the pictures have to be a certain size? I can provide some pictures. Of many genres.

If one of us (or Static) can get a measurement of the pictures I considered that should be replaced then we can get the right sized pictures for Static to put into the map.

The pictures can be any size, square or rectangle. I can resize the canvas to fit the picture properly. If you want a measurement, send me a steam message and ill get it for you. As for the map, if i can get it all done by the 15th ill put it out other wise, itll be out sometime before the 17th or atleast I hope. It would be a mostly cosmedic update, Ive been messing around with making models but not too sure how many will make it in.
